Nelson County Population and Income water tower facilities, Nelson County continues to improve its infrastructure, keeping up with the demand of this fast-growing county. NCEDA has been very fortunate in the last few years with the recruitment of several new corporations to Nelson County including NPR, a Japanese automotive supplier, Flowers Foods, a national baking facility and SYKES, a state-of-the-art inbound call center for a major telecommunications company. These companies will employ a total of over 800 employees. Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear, along with NPR Officials and Nelson County Economic Development leaders helped press the ���Start��� buttons for the official start up of the first machine at the opening of NPR Manufacturing���s $48.7 million, 200,000-s.f. facility in Bardstown. NPR is an affiliate of Nippon Piston Ring, a Japanese company founded in 1931.
